INDIA'S ONLY PERANAKAN RESTAURANT
There’s fine dining.
And then there’s fine dining at PANDAN CLUB -
Chennai’s newest outfit that spoils you with
Peranakan cuisine at its best.
Literally meaning ‘Local Descendants’ in Malay,
the word Peranakan was employed in the 19th century
by Chinese communities who moved in Southeast Asia.
Here’s looking at the logo created for Pandan Club.
A rich brand, of cuisine delivered by an exquisite set of people,
the design for Pandan Club needed to be at par. The brief?
All things design must be as scrumptious and mouth-watering
as the food that’d go on each plate. The logo harmoniously
brought together elements inspired by Pandan leaves, Peranakan tiles,
Ancestry roots, Nanyang explorers and Nonya Keuhs.
The colours, light and simple - a reflection of how you’d feel
when you’re munching on Peranakan food.

The end result? Design that teased the eye by stringing together
elements rooted in Peranakan cuisine, culture
and thoughtfulness behind every element that made the final cut. Easy-peasy.
